A local company was in the spotlight at Madison Square Garden and on Fox News this past weekend.

State College-based Mechanical Bull Sales was invited to New York for a cross-promotional event with partner Professional Bull Riders (PBR), during PBR’s season-opening “Unleash the Beast” at MSG.

On Saturday-morning, the company’s PBR-branded bull was front and center on “Fox & Friends” during a segment with rider Tanner Byrne. Hosts Pete Hesgeth, Jedediah Bila and Ed Henry each gave it a go on the bull.In October 2018, MBS entered a partnership with PBR to be the official licensee for the “toughest sport on dirt.”

“The PBR brand is a strong one, worldwide, and we are the only licensed mechanical bull manufacturer partnered with them,” said MBS sales manager Chanel Simon. “So we have exclusive rights to brand our bulls, mattresses and products with PBR logos.”

The partnership allows MBS clients to purchase PBR-branded bulls, sell PBR products, book celebrity bull riders for their own events and access events at PBR tours.

Owner Gracienne Myers started MBS in 2007 and it has since grown to become the top mechanical bull company in the country, with clients primarily including bars, clubs, amusements companies, family fun centers and trampoline parks in 42 states and 44 countries.

Myers has worked over the years with U.S. manufacturers and suppliers to perfect the mechanical bull designs and today the company’s products include touchscreen panels, custom settings for ride styles, various safety features, and music and video options.

“I’ve always been dedicated to using cutting-edge technology to create a superior mechanical bull with the most life-like features and most realistic movements,” Myers said upon announcing the partnership. “We feel so blessed PBR recognized our vision and commitment, and we are already seeing immediate interest from having our products branded to the leader in the sport of bull riding.”

“PBR is thrilled to partner with MBS to bring the excitement inherent in our brand to countless people across the country,” said John Sohigian, PBR vice president of consumer products.“Fans and those yet to discover PBR will have the opportunity to get a taste of the sport by testing their agility, balance and grit on the most realistic mechanical bulls anywhere.”
